PHOTO TOUR OLD TOWN KLOBUK
Klobuk was one of the most magnificent medieval town forts in Trebinje area. The town is positioned on steep cliffs that are looking to Sušica river, and it can be approached only from the west side – from the road leading from Trebinje to Niksic. It is declared a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is believed to have been built in the 9th century. In the work of Constantine Porphyrogenitus ‘De Administrando Imperio’ in the middle of the 10th century, he mentions a town in the parish of Vrm in the county of Travunija. The town of Klobuk was part of the state of Nemanjić until 1321, when this area passed into the hands of Bosnian rulers. The Ottomans captured Klobuk in 1477, and since then a Ottoman army crew has been stationed in the fortress until 1878, when they offered fierce resistance to Austro-Hungarian forces. Klobuk was physically destroyed in 1878 by Austrians who pillaged it and destroyed it, so only the dilapidated walls remained to this day.

In the recent times, Klobuk was popularized in the movie ‘On the Milky Road’ (good part of the movie was shot at this location) by the world-famous director Emir Kusturica. Monica Bellucci, one of the world’s most famous movie divas, was a leading actor in the movie.

Short description of the tour: We drive from Trebinje to the village of Klobuk. From there we continue with a short walk to the Old Town of Klobuk, located on top of an inaccessible hill. There is only one trail that leads to the top. At this spectacular location we will photograph the remains of the old town and the panorama that stretches around towards the mountain massif Orjen and down the valley of Trebisnjica. After that we return to the car and go down to Jazina and Lastva where you will also have the opportunity to take very interesting photos of the rivers Trebisnjica and Susica and the old bridges on them. After that, we return by car to Trebinje.

ARRANGEMENT INCLUDES:
- Transport from Trebinje to Klobuk and Jazin and later back to Trebinje (30 minutes drive in one direction)
- Fully-equipped and experienced English speaking pro photographer and sertified mountaineering guide

- Photographic Equipment - cameras and lenses
- Optional tipping to leader/guide and local staff,
- Souvenirs and items of a personal nature (sodas, alcoholic beverages, etc.)
Options: Water bottles could be provided by HERZ Adventures on request.
Trebinje has 260+ sunny days a year. Still, organizer reserves the right to cancel the trip without prior notice due to bad weather conditions.
